I missed Week 3′s predictions and just now looked to see how Week 2′s predictions played out. Unlike Week 1, Week 2 proved to not be very accurate so I looked to see what other feng shui factors might have come into play to see if this Week’s predictions are more in line with Week 1.

Here are the predictions using feng shui and the starting quarterback’s for each team this week. If you read Week 1′s predictions you know that I don’t take into account other factors like the coaches or the athletic ability of the players involved or even the other players on the team.

The outlook is based solely on feng shui of the quarterbacks of each team so here we go:

Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears: Jay Cutler’s personal feng shui is better than Matthew Stafford’s so vote goes to Chicago.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns: Carson Palmer’s feng shui isn’t that great compared with Derek Anderson’s so I’ll go with the Browns.

Oakland vs. Houston: JaMarcus Russell’s feng shui is better than Matt Schaub’s but the stadium favors Schaub. Since I have to pick one I’ll go with Oakland.

Seattle vs. Indianapolis: Peyton Manning has better feng shui odds than Seneca Wallace so Indianapolis gets the nod.

Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kerry Collin’s personal feng shui isn’t doing him any favors this month making David Garrard a more favorable choice.

NY Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Eli Manning’s feng shui favors him strongly for tomorrow’s game so my vote is for him over Matt Cassel.

Baltimore vs. New England: Joe Flacco’s feng shui outshines Tom Brady’s so odds go to Baltimore.

Tampa Bay vs. Washington Redskins: Jason Campbell has some very tough feng shui working against his success right now so I’ll go with Josh Johnson and the Buccaneers.

Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins: I see Chad Pennington is out due to injuries and Chad Henne has taken his place. Both of these guys have the exact same feng shui. Although Henne’s feng shui isn’t great right now I’ll go with him over Trent Edwards of the Bills.

NY Jets and New Orleans Saints: The feng shui Flying Stars are all aligned in Drew Brees’ favor right now. Sorry Mark Sanchez.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos: This is a tricky call because Kyle Orton has the better feng shui right now but Tony Romo’s personal feng shui number favors the stadium and some other areas so I’m going to go with the Cowboys.

St. Louis vs. San Francisco: This is another tough call because both Kyle Boller and Shaun Hill have very bad feng shui energy right now. I’ll go with Shaun Hill and the 49ers.

San Diego Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: My vote is for Pittsburgh since Ben Roethlisberger has some great feng shui energy working for him right now.

Remember, this is for entertainment purposes only so take the information in that vein.

See you next week.

For fun last week I decided to make predictions on the NFL games being played on Sunday in Week 1 looking only at the feng shui of the starting quarterbacks of each team. Interestingly enough 85% of the predictions were accurate.

So let’s see if the trend continues by looking at the feng shui of each starting quarterback for tomorrow’s NFL games in Week 2.

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons – Matt Ryan’s feng shui this month is well suited to winning so my vote is for the Falcons over the Panthers.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions – Brett Favre and Matthew Stafford have identical feng shui so it’s going to be the better playing team that wins. I’ll go with the Lions because of the home field advantage.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers – Carson Palmer has terrible feng shui stars this month and Aaron Rodgers’ is good so I’m going with Green Bay.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – David Garrard’s feng shui is better than Kurt Warner’s but Garrard’s going to have to work for it.

Oakland Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs – The stadium favors JaMarcus Russell but Matt Cassel’s personal feng shui is better so I’ll go with Kansas.

New England Patriots vs. NY Jets – This should be a good game or really boring because the quarterbacks have the exact same feng shui this month. I’ll go with the Jets because of home team advantage.

New Orleans Saints vs. Philadelphia Eagles – Kevin Kolb has the feng shui advantage but if Drew Brees puts in the extra effort his team could do well. Feng shui points to Eagles.

Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans – Matt Schaub and Kerry Collins have identical feng shui so my vote is Titans because of home field advantage.

St. Louis Rams vs. Washington Redskins – Marc Bulger’s feng shui is much better than Jason Campbell’s right now so my vote is for the Rams.

Tampa Bay vs. Buffalo Bills – Byron Leftwich has tough feng shui this year so feng shui points to Trent Edwards and the Bills.

Seattle Seahawks vs. SF 49ers – Matt Hasselbeck has better feng shui odds than Shaun Hill so Seahawks are favored.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Chicago Bears – Ben Roethlisberger and Jay Cutler both have great feng shui but Roethlisberger has the edge. Vote goes to Steelers.

Cleveland vs. Denver – Brad Quinn and Kyle Orton also both have positive feng shui stars working for them but Orton has the better odds. Vote goes to Broncos.

Baltimore Ravens vs. San Diego Chargers – Philip Rivers has terrible feng shui right now so on that alone I’d say Joe Flacco has a better chance of giving the Ravens the win.

NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys – Tony Romo and Eli Manning have identical feng shui and the Cowboys are playing in a brand new stadium. This makes it hard to pick a winner because home field advantage doesn’t really apply given the newness of the stadium. I’ll stick with the process though and go with the Cowboys.

Again, this is just for fun and I’m only looking at the feng shui of the starting quarterbacks. We’ll see how this week’s predictions turn out. Who knows? Maybe I’m on to something here.

Week 1 of the NFL season kicked off this week with the Steelers beating out the Tennessee Titans in Pittsburgh. Today 13 more games will be played much to the delight of football fans everywhere.

When I decided to use feng shui to predict the winning teams this year I had no idea it would be such a daunting task. After hours and days of creating spreadsheets and making little progress I decided it was too much and turned my focus to the starting quarterbacks instead.

So that is how I’ll be looking at the NFL games – which starting quarterback has the best feng shui on their side. If they were the only players on the team then it would be a fairly easy call to say who the winner would be. But given there are other factors like teammates and coaches I’m looking at this more from the perspective that if the quarterback has good feng shui than it tilts the odds of winning in his team’s favor. Of course you’ll want to look at the quarterback’s skills too but when evenly matched the one with the better feng shui will have the tables turned in their favor.

Not every game is clear cut either because some quarterbacks have the exact same feng shui. In that case the talent and skill of the quarterback will be the factor to take into consideration rather than the player’s feng shui.

I don’t follow football so this is really just a way to entertain myself more than anything.

For today’s games here’s how the feng shui stacks up:

Dolphin’s Chad Pennington vs. Falcon’s Matt Ryan – Both have the exact same feng shui and the stadium faces both players’ Total Loss direction so this could end up being a very close but crappy game. (Again, I’m just basing this on the quarterback’s feng shui. You know more about the teams than me so you’ll want to factor that info into the equation as well.) If I had to pick I’d go with the Falcon’s since they have home field advantage.

Chief’s Matt Cassel vs. Ravens’ Joe Flacco – Cassel’s feng shui has a slight edge over Flacco’s and is more conducive to success so based on that the Chiefs have better odds.

Eagles’ McNabb vs. Panthers’ Delhomme – Delhomme has really great feng shui this month so that’s in the Eagles’ favor.

Broncos’ Orton vs. Bengals’ Palmer – Definitely Broncos because of the feng shui combination for Orton this month.

Vikings’ Favre vs. Browns’ Quinn – This could be a really interesting game because Quinn has a slight edge in terms of his personal feng shui but the stadium favors Favre. If Favre puts in the hard work needed to win he could overcome Quinn’s feng shui edge.

Jets’ Sanchez vs. Texans’ Schaub – Feng shui favors Mark Sanchez. Matt Schaub has terrible feng shui this year so if he continues to start for Houston they’re not likely to win too many games.

Jaguars’ David Garrard vs. Colts’ Peyton Manning – Peyton Manning’s feng shui is better. I actually recognize his name from a Saturday Night Live skit. When he retires from football he should go into comedic acting.

Lions’ Matthew Stafford vs. Saints’ Drew Brees – They have identical feng shui and the stadium doesn’t do either one of them any favors this year. This game is either going to be very lackluster or very exciting because skill is going to be the biggest factor in who wins. If I had to pick I’d go with Brees due to home field advantage.

Cowboys’ Romo vs. Buckaneers’ Leftwich – Romo’s feng shui gives better odds to the Cowboys.

49ers’ Shaun Hill vs. Cardinals’ Kurt Warner – Kurt Warner, no question.

Redskins’ Jason Campbell vs. Giants’ Eli Manning – Manning has much better feng shui and the stadium favors him as well so feng shui odds go to the Giants.

Rams’ Marc Bulger vs. Seahawks’ Matt Hasselbeck – Seahawk’s quarterback has better feng shui for the team.

Bears’ Jay Cutler vs. Packers’ Aaron Rodgers - These guys have identical feng shui and the stadium favors them both as well so this is another one where the better prepared team will win. Home field advantage to Rodgers.

Hope you had fun reading this. I’m interested to see how this works out.

UPDATE: 09/19/09

This turned out to be a really interesting exercise. Out of the 13 quarterbacks I looked at the feng shui was able to predict the winning team 85% of the time. Let’s see how this works out for the 9/20/09 NFL games.

Today I read an article about the Pep Boys Auto 500 that will be running tomorrow at 7pm EST on ESPN and the author mentioned that 11 drivers will be hoping the Atlanta Motor Speedway will be their ticket to a spot in the Sprint Cup Series.

So I thought I’d take a look at those 11 drivers mentioned in the article and talk about their odds of winning from a feng shui perspective.

Let’s start with Denny Hamlin, Ryan Newman and Kasey Kahne. All three of these guys have the exact same personal feng shui number (which is based on your birthday). Each feng shui number tells you what your personal Success, Health, Relationship and Wisdom directions are.

On top of that you have feng shui Flying Stars that impact those 4 directions and these Stars can either help you or hurt you.

In the case of Hamlin, Newman and Kahne their feng shui is working against them all year and this month the Flying Star feng shui isn’t helping them either.

Feng shui accounts for 33% of your total luck while skill and talent (known as Human Luck) take another 33%. All of these guys are talented but with their feng shui working against them (unless they’re using their remedies to counter their Flying Stars) I’d say none of these guys are likely to win tomorrow’s NASCAR race.

Let’s look at Mark Martin and Kyle Busch next. These guys also share the same feng shui number and also have feng shui Flying Stars working against them for the year and the month so I wouldn’t put money on them either.

Kyle’s brother Kurt and Greg Biffle have better feng shui working for them for the year than the other guys but for the month it’s terrible. When you’re yearly feng shui is good but the monthly feng shui isn’t then you either have to put up your feng shui remedies and work a lot harder or just go on vacation that month. Carl Edwards is in the same boat as Kurt and Greg so he’s going to have to follow the same advice.

So that leaves Juan Montoya, Brian Vickers and Matt Kenseth.

Montoya doesn’t have a good track record (no pun intended) at Atlanta but he does have good Stars working for him this year and this month so he may surprise some people tomorrow.

The same is true for Brian Vickers.

Atlanta is in the southeast part of the United States which is Vickers’ and Montoya’s Frustration direction so that means they’ll need to stay focused and level headed at this track. But again, both of them have positive feng shui Stars working for them so tomorrow’s race should be a good one for them.

And the final guy, Matt Kenseth, has terrific Stars to win but he also has a strong element of conflict working against him which could mean that he ends up being one of the leaders in the race but someone runs him off the track and ticks him off. But if he can keep his cool and stay in the race I favor him to outperform the other 11 guys because Atlanta is in his Success direction and the Flying Stars there this month are terrific.

Let’s see how it goes.

Michael Crabtree

Those of you who’ve been reading my blog know that my specialty is feng shui and not sports stats so when I came across an article on SportingNews.com by Mike Florio which you can read here: http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/article/2009-08-31/michael-crabtree-needs-get-deal-49ers-done-now about Michael Crabtree needing to sign a deal with the 49ers in made me curious what this guy’s feng shui had to say.

If you’ve seen any of my other blogs on feng shui you know that everyone has 4 personal best directions (Success, Health, Relationships and Wisdom) and these are based on your birthday. Your directions are unique to you.

There is also another kind of feng shui called Flying Star feng shui that has a predictive quality to it so when you look at the Flying Stars on your Success, Health, Relationship and Wisdom directions it paints a picture about what possibilities are available to you. The average guy on the street thinks this is a bunch of nonsense but Fortune 500 execs see this as another tool to gain an edge on their competition and improve their odds of success, just ask Donald Trump.

So getting back to Michael Crabtree’s feng shui I can see that this is not the year for him to be arguing about money. In fact Mike Florio says he’s not a good enough player to demand more money. But even if he was it would be next to impossible for him to get the money he wants this year.

That’s because Crabtree has the Robbery Star on his Relationship direction. That means people are going to want to take money away from him and will be very stingy about giving it to him. If he signs a deal before Sept. 6 he’ll be in decent shape but if he waits til Sept. 7 or later he may find that there’s no deal to sign at all. That’s because the Robbery Star turns disasterous at that point so he could very well find no one wants to sign him.

Since he also has the Disaster Star on his Success direction this year (think career) it’s not the year to be demanding in his requests. This is the year to take what he can get, say thank you and move on. Again, this month will be easier for him to close a deal but if he waits til Sept. 7 or later his chances look very grim.

This is a great instance where someone’s Human Luck (talents and skills as a football player in Crabtree’s case) are completely in line with their personal feng shui.

I hope he takes heed and signs the deal with the 49ers soon.

Las Vegas is the home of American boxing. Are cable companies still charging outrageous fees to watch the 1-2 minute matches that go on there? What happened to the days of Sugar Ray Leonard and Mohammed Ali? Now THOSE were boxing matches.

On Saturday, Sept. 19 there are three boxing matches taking place in Las Vegas. Here are my feng shui predictions on the outcomes of these fights:

Welterweight: Juan Manuel Marguez (Nacho) vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr (Pretty Boy). Well Nacho definitely has the best feng shui of the two for this match but it looks like this is going to cost him somehow. He’s going to need to watch his mouth more than usual for this fight or he could end up losing some teeth or getting his jaw clobbered in detrimental way. It may even cost Floyd some money. We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.

Featherweight: Chriss John (The Dragon) vs. Rocky Juarez (Ricardo) - Neither one of these guys has very good feng shui this month but Chris’ feng shui is worse than Rocky’s. If I had to bet I’d pick Rocky but if I didn’t I’d just skip this fight.

Welterweight: Zab Judah (Super) vs. Matthew Hatton (Magic). Who comes up with these nicknames by the way? Here’s something interesting. Mayweather, Juarez and Judah all have the exact same feng shui this month. How weird is that? Three out of the six guys. What’s even more interesting is that all three of these guys’ Success (meaning Career) directions (which is based on your birtheday in feng shui) are tied to their hands meaning that they gain success in their life using their hands somehow. Turns out they decided to use them for boxing. I find this fascinating.

This is a tough fight to call because both boxers have terrible feng shui energy when it comes to boxing this month. But Judah has financial loss on his Career direction while Hatton has financial windfall on his. Since the winner gets the purse that points to Hatton so I’m going to go with him as the winner.

Like I said in my first post on this blog (http://sportsfengshui.wordpress.com/2009/08/30/welcome-to-the-sports-feng-shui-blog/) I’m doing this for fun because I find it entertaining. I don’t recommend gambling or betting and I don’t condone it either. This information is merely for entertainment purposes only.

The NFL predictions are consuming all of my time so I thought I’d start off with some easy predictions for the upcoming boxing matches this Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama City, Panama.

I know what you’re thinking: how do you go from the NFL to boxing in Panama City? Well, to be honest it’s easier to predict one-on-one events than team events and this is the only thing I could find.

Before I get started let me tell you something that I found really fascinating about this. Like I said in my first blog I really know nothing about sports. My dad wasn’t a sports enthusiast and I was asked to leave my softball team in both the 2nd and 6th grades because I was so bad.

But I DO know feng shui and there is an area of feng shui that represents the hands. What’s boxing all about? Using your hands right? So the boxers that have the best feng shui related to their hands this year are going to have much better odds of winning than those that don’t have this same beneficial feng shui working for them.

That being said here are my predictions for the fights on Saturday night:

Flyweight: Luis Concepcion vs. Omar Salado – these two guys have almost identical feng shui which makes it difficult to say who’s going to win this match. But Luis has the best feng shui when it comes to his hands. It’s not going to be an easy match for him and in fact he’ll have to work harder than he thought he would to win this one. If he doesn’t give up and keeps swinging my bet is that Luis will win this one.

Featherweight: Daniel Ponce de Leon vs. Roinet Caballero - My money is on Roinet for this one.

Light Middleweight: Austin Trout vs. Nilson Julio Tapia – These guys have the EXACT same feng shui so the winner of this round will be the guy who is well rested and well prepared. I can’t call this one. I should say that both of these guys have challenging feng shui this year so even if they’re excellent boxers the feng shui energy is working against them all year. Anytime these guys are matched with other competitors with better feng shui they’ll lose.

Super Flyweight - Ricardo Nunez vs. Timur Shailezov – Like Concepcion and Salado these guys have very similar feng shui but unlike Concepcion and Salado neither Nunez or Shailezov have good feng shui on their hands this month. If someone put a gun to my head and said, “You have to pick one.” then I’d go for Ricardo Nunez but if I didn’t I’d just keep my money in my pockets.

Light Welterweight – Jose Alfaro vs. Ameth Diaz – These guys have identical feng shui so like Trout and Tapia it will come down to who is more prepared, rested and ready to go for this match. Both of these guys have fantastic feng shui for their careers this year so this should be a good match in any event.

Just set up this new blog to talk about the feng shui of different sports teams to see how accurate feng shui is at predicting winners. I’m going way out on a limb here because I’ve done this a few times for individual athletes like Lance Armstrong’s chances of winning the Tour de France and Roger Federer winning the French Open but never entire teams.

The way this started is that I LOVE ice hockey. A few years ago I saw a game live here in Florida when I was in my 30s. After that I was hooked but can only watch them in person because on t.v. it just doesn’t hold my interest the same way. So anyway I started thinking about the odds of different teams winning using feng shui as a predictor and decided to start this blog to do just that.

That being said I am not familiar with sports AT ALL so you won’t hear me talking about statistics or team positions or players’ abilities because I wouldn’t even know where to begin and quite frankly I don’t care.

All I’m looking at is the feng shui of the teams, maybe the coaches, maybe the players, we’ll just have to see as it goes along because I’m just sort of playing this all by ear for my own entertainment. And if I’m right enough times (or rather I should say if the feng shui is right enough times) maybe some bookies will start using me as a source for info (wouldn’t that make my grandmother proud?).

So I hope you enjoy the blogs as I go along and please comment on specific games or events you want me to look at and I’ll see what I can do to get you the info.

For now I’ll be starting with the feng shui odds of the AFC and NFC teams winning each month and go from there. (I didn’t even know there were two NFL divisions until tonight so this is going to be a crap load of work.)

Stay tuned and we’ll see how this goes.
